Remembering to be Thankful

Posted on 11/24/2016

Happy Thanksgiving from Raining Rose to you! With turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie, and family and friends to enjoy, it’s a memorable occasion to share. We hope you take a moment to count all the blessings you have, not just today, but every day of the year — it actually has a larger impact on your quality of life than you may realize.

Gratitude has so many benefits: it provides opportunities for more relationships, improves your physical and mental health, increases empathy while lowering aggression, and improves sleep and self-esteem. These are all things we want, right? Then it makes sense to keep gratitude a priority, and the great thing is, it’s simple to do.

In the spirit of this mindset, some members of Team Promo shared what they’re thankful for this Thanksgiving:

Nate: I am thankful for all the dry and chapped lips across the globe. I am also thankful for the wonderful people that I am surrounded by each and every day.

Erin: Gosh — there are so many things I am thankful for this Thanksgiving! I am thankful for family, both personal and Raining Rose, beeswax, coffee, and travel ibuprofen. I could go on and on!

Hannah: I am thankful for each savory drop of rain, endless adventures with my companions, and continual growth in my skills and knowledge.

Dennis: I’d have to say I’m most thankful for my family — my amazing husband and our two cats. They make my soul smile.

Anna: I am most thankful for the blessing of my family and for all the people around me who make life more meaningful. Also, my favorite quote for this time of year is by John F. Kennedy: “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them.”

Kelli: I am thankful for my family — all of those before me who helped shape me into who I am, my husband who is a nice balance to my crazy and so supportive in every adventure I take. I am thankful for my kids for reminding me what life is all about. I am thankful for the changing weather and seasons that are nature’s reminders to slow down, kick it up a bit and change up what we are doing. I am thankful for my friends who challenge me, encourage me, and support me. I am thankful for my little piece of prairie that keeps me grounded and shows me why I love nature and quiet every day! I am thankful for traditions that have me bursting at the seams with joy for the upcoming holiday season. Just to name a few!

Of course, we are also thankful for our customers — that’s you! We sincerely enjoy the relationships we have and providing our products and services. We simply wouldn’t be here without you.
